The BookViral Review:

Hines had a huge bestseller and a multiple award winner with Bishop’s War and fans will be thrilled to find Bishop’s Law delivers the same and more!

John Bishop is back but whereas many military thrillers rely on stereotyping and large, crude motivations to move their stories along Hines has delivered an altogether more sophisticated read as enormous consequences hang by slender threads.

As with Bishop’s War Hines delivers a plot which is complex and yet is never less than clear to his readers. It’s first and foremost a thriller but it’s also an exercise in military and anti-terrorism strategy in which the players are all smart enough that we can’t take their actions for granted. And on this level, Hines does a spellbinding job of cranking up the tension to create a portrait of convincing realism.

His action scenes are propulsive with action and dialogue in perfectly balanced proportions which both enhances suspense and expresses his characters’ ever-changing relations to one another. It’s a piece of genre craftsmanship and it’s what makes Bishop’s Law a sheer delight from beginning to end.

Another superb release from Hines and sure to leave readers with a burning desire to see what’s next for Bishop and his brothers in arms. Bishop’s Law is unreservedly recommended and a must-read!

The Occult -why the fascination with dark fiction?

While the occult is a broad umbrella, hiding its many forms under its silky black folds, it’s concepts have endured through time, enjoying many a resurgence through the ages. The term ‘occultism’, is relatively new, not used in French or English literature, for instance, until the 19th Century, although the term ‘occult sciences’ was commonly used in the 16th Century to describe practices such as astrology, alchemy, mysticism, and natural magic.
