Compelling and unstoppable, Assault (book 1 of the Girl with a Knife series), is undeniably addictive. Perfectly representing the challenges of colonial America, Hogg’s book has it all.

The BookViral Review:
A prequel to Masked Intent: A Modern-Day Morality Play Greer’s Intermezzo proves another ravishing, romantic read that’s brimming over with style, intelligence and flashing wit.
A relatively quick read it’s a collection of short stories that share the origins of Alexa Winston and Mateo Da Rocha’s connection as Greer winepresses snapshots of Alexa Winston and Mateo Da Rocha’s lives before the events Masked Intent.
Greer creates characters with enough depth to hold together but not so much that they become too individualized or stubbornly complex. Her dialogue represents the way people would like to be able to talk. It’s witty and epigrammatic, and there are lots of lines on which to linger as she conveys naiveté, intellectual curiosity and romantic yearning. More importantly, she effortlessly develops romantic tension that is convincing, complicated and sensual.
Reads like Intermezzo depend crucially on the chemistry between its lead characters and in Alexa Winston and Mateo Da Rocha Greer has pitched it perfectly. Each of her ‘interludes’ are earnest, visually powerful and authentically engaging and as in Masked Intent, it’s in tone and insight that Greer’s confidence lingers as she continues to explore our relationship with the truth and how it drives our actions and motivations when it comes to our innermost desires.
Underlined by an intensity and lightness of touch that plays well to the brevity of Intermezzo Greer stylistically and thematically delivers a breathless appetizer for the bigger story in Masked Intent and it is unreservedly recommended!

Measured in his prose Stephen Watts gives us a dense, intricate read but unlike many historical biographies which are sketchy in the way they deal with the world beyond their principal character, Watts adds a compelling element of social texture with the inclusion of Charles Watts’ many letters.
With the continued growing popularity of the short story, many good collections are released each year and yet sadly the majority go unnoticed by mainstream readers.
It takes patience to rank in images searches or for your images to find their way to the top of a Google page and to optimize images for search engines takes an investment of time but the potential payback is huge.
How often do we read a book where a character appears in the mind’s eye fully formed?
Why should we care about these personal experiences, of the reminiscing of an individual with whom we have no obvious connection?
