Compelling and unstoppable, Assault (book 1 of the Girl with a Knife series), is undeniably addictive. Perfectly representing the challenges of colonial America, Hogg’s book has it all.

The BookViral Review:
A surveillance operation gone wrong, an organized crime case that involves police officers and the scene is set for what proves to be a classy and edgy debut for G M Moore and one that’s sure to get her noticed by avid readers of the genre.
Crime fiction is by necessity plot driven and writing a good police procedural, thriller or suspense novel isn’t easy. New authors often find themselves juggling so many plot threads that they become irrevocably tangled but Moore weaves hers with genuine flair and Explosive Forces is one of those novels where you’ll want to savour the fine detail.
A sure sign of a bestseller the forward momentum is relentless as Lisa and Alex find themselves drawn into a web of lies and misdirection and whilst Moore may be new to the genre she’s clearly adept at revealing her characters’ emotions. Doing so through well-conceived backstories and a word or two of well-sharpened banter that’s reminiscent of genre stalwart James Patterson.
Perhaps more importantly though Moore appreciates the value of having fun with a plot, turning its clichés into fresh experiences and infusing energy into the margins of what might otherwise have been a predictable story and on this level, Explosive Forces works great as both unconventional crime thriller and offbeat romance. It’s laid-back when it needs to be, but also taut, with the eerie foreboding of violence about to erupt and is sure to keep Moore’s readers on tenterhooks to the very last page and what proves to be a cracking denouement.
The start of an entertaining new series and one that should certainly sate the appetites of genre fans Explosive Forces is highly recommended.

A cerebral new time travelling thriller that’s considerably more contemplative than the vast majority of genre releases Future’s Dark Past proves a stylish head trip. A read that teases the brain and touches the heart as its twists and turns keep multiplying whilst never losing sight of the need for narrative sustainability.
One thing that Bestselling Romance Authors have in common is an innate ability to sustain romantic tension page after page but how do you separate the wheat from the chaff?
The fact is that few authors really master the art of suspense and those who do are the ones who come to understand its underpinning psychology.
Is anything ever again like your ‘first love’? The trembling hands, the beating heart, the breathless anticipation-in short, the culmination of all you ever saw and heard and felt about love?
Whilst there is undoubted value in considering historical context, not least because past forces, individuals and trends both shape the present and provide valuable lessons for our future decisions, is historical fiction of any value?
