The BookViral Review:
Digital nomads are people who use telecommunications technologies to earn a living working remotely from foreign countries and The Paradise Chapter is perfectly pitched to explore their nomadic lifestyle.
Lucidly written and deceptively simple Salazar’s narrative transports his readers to his Koh Tanu setting in a story fuelled by a mix of intelligence, wit and astute observation as he explores the emotional terrain of his characters. Alternating between different perspectives as he splendidly articulates the complexities, failings and contradictions that often obscure the path ahead.
A compelling read with an endearing sense of honesty and openness prevailing throughout Salazar writes from personal experience but ensures his story is never held hostage to the subject by avoiding unnecessary complexity and detail.
On one level The Paradise Chapter is a warts and all foray into the lives of his digital nomads for whom the beckoning of the road is too strong to resist and best-laid plans take many an unexpected twist. On another, it’s an exploration of determined individuals who have the willingness to go a little further whilst sacrificing just a bit more to achieve the level of freedom they want and embrace a lifestyle many of us can only dream of.
Superbly written, immersive and highly entertaining The Paradise Chapter is one read you won’t want to put down!

It’s a biography about what happens when the relationships between people are irrevocably impacted by the unscripted events of life with Gray admirably exploring the unique and confusing nature of dementia.

Whilst there is undoubted value in considering historical context, not least because past forces, individuals and trends both shape the present and provide valuable lessons for our future decisions, is historical fiction of any value?
Albert Einstein said that. No doubt imagination, then, is a great thing to have if it yields such rich thinking in adulthood-But when does imagination start in the brain? And how important is reading for developing imagination young minds?
