The BookViral Review:
A beguiling read that quickly engages the imagination Dismantling Vindictiveness proves a fine release for Melendez with intrigue continuing to build throughout.
It’s certainly an atmospheric read with a strong cast of characters as Melendez takes her readers on a rich journey that plays to the best in the mysteries genre. It’s about the darkness that can permeate our lives, the secrets that we keep from each other. The ones that threaten to undo us and how we each can choose to bow to that pressure or stand up to the challenge it presents.
A story that might well have proved trite and prescriptive in the hands of a less confident author, Melendez brings a certain radiance to her story as she takes her readers into a maelstrom of the unexpected.
With a well-conceived plot that benefits from a host of particularly well observed and subtly nuanced characters. Quickly immersing her readers in a relentless sequence of events, she builds a highly palpable measure of suspense which allows ensuing plot developments, although seemingly ordinary on one level, to develop into the profound. This bringing an added sense of realism to her story which ardent fans of the genre will certainly appreciate!
An absorbing and compelling novel, Dismantling Vindictiveness is one of those reads you will want to talk about and is strongly recommended!
