The BookViral Review:

Unlike any other ‘self-help’ book you have ever read Bridges willingness to flout genre conventions and eschew trite formulas are just two reasons to pick up a copy of Do Shit, Get Shit Done!

“What is a comfort zone? In my mind, it’s the walls we imprison ourselves in,” says Bridges and he is clearly on a mission to break those walls down. He’s a powerful example of someone taking control of his own life and in a genre littered with asinine offerings written by “quick buck gurus” Bridges proves himself to be the real deal.

In fact to say Do Shit, Get Shit Done is simply a self-help book is to shortchange it. Bridges doesn’t gild the Lilly. He gets straight to the point. His writing is raw, blunt and riddled with f-bombs but he has the remarkable ability to know exactly how to help his readers find the answers they need within themselves. He doesn’t purport to have all the answers, he doesn’t offer guarantees and yet this adds a degree of authenticity which the genre more often than not lacks.

“There is only one reason you can’t do what they do… you haven’t tried, and you haven’t put in the required amount of effort to be able to. If your kettle only gets the water to 78 degrees then it ain’t gon boil!” Is another of Bridges gems and whilst they say there is nothing new under the sun his delivery and his ability to cut through the dross and share life hacks that deliver results is up there with the best authors the genre has to offer. Giving his readers detailed, precise instructions that not only provide a clear, easy-to-read guide on how to practice and perfect these techniques but why they are used and how they are effective.

A hugely inspirational, insightful and practical tour de force that asks the big questions and provides powerful transformational life hacks Do Shit, Get Shit Done is unreservedly recommended!

The delicacy and even believability of this fantastical story support an underlying message of decent human behaviour and a well-mannered and civilised society, and the reader is left with the sense that Brightwell truly believes in the nature of the society she has created in a more peaceful parallel universe- one which follows closely to the Q’ehazi people.
