The BookViral Review:
Ella and the Magic of Seven! is a beautifully imagined, heartwarming adventure that captures the magic of childhood and the joy of turning seven. Created by Goose In Gold® and brought to life with vivid illustrations by Kris Lillyman, this enchanting story is the third in the “Giggly Furbottom Adventures” series, and it’s a pure delight from beginning to end.
The book opens with a sweet dedication from a grandfather to his granddaughter, Ella, setting the stage for a story that is as personal and sincere as it is imaginative. On the eve of her seventh birthday, Ella wishes for an extraordinary visit from her beloved magical friend, Giggly Furbottom—a lovable, fluffy creature with twinkling eyes and a heart full of surprises. What follows is an unforgettable night of fantastical escapades, where the boundaries between dream and reality are deliciously blurred.
Giggly whisks Ella away on a breathtaking journey through soaring skies, enchanted gardens, shimmering undersea palaces, snowy mountaintops, and a magical forest teeming with whimsical creatures. They meet mermaids who sing lullabies, unicorns that dance in the moonlight, mischievous pixies, and even a grumpy gnome who hides a secret treasure. Each new destination brings a burst of color, sound, and emotion, immersing the reader in Ella’s joyful wonder at the world around her.
The story beautifully blends poetic language with gentle humor and life-affirming themes. Each scene is crafted with care and brims with sensory details—from the tickle of glitter dust on Ella’s skin to the clang and bang of a magical market. These rich, evocative descriptions allow young readers to fully immerse themselves in Ella’s world. And at its heart, the book carries meaningful messages about courage, kindness, curiosity, and the power of dreams.
What makes this story truly special is its emotional resonance. Giggly Furbottom is more than a magical guide; he represents comfort, trust, and love—an anchor for Ella’s imagination and a symbol of the support every child needs as they grow. The gentle closing message, encouraging Ella to “sprinkle magic around the world,” leaves readers with a warm glow and a sense of empowerment.
Kris Lillyman’s illustrations complement the narrative wonderfully. They are colorful, playful, and full of charm—adding visual depth to Ella’s adventure without overwhelming the storytelling. Each image enhances the mood of the scene and invites children to discover delightful little details on every page.
Perfect for children aged 5 to 8, Ella and the Magic of Seven! is ideal for bedtime reading, birthday gifts, or simply sharing a moment of magic with a child you love. It’s not just a story—it’s a read that celebrates imagination, friendship, and the joy of being young.
