SUMMARY:
Jonny Plumbs jaw dropping adventures continue in rip roaring fashion following his latest book, Jonny Plumb and the Battle for Earth. Where Jonny and all his friends set out to try and save the earth from the evil clutches of the devils only daughter Deadsheda and her Hench woman the even uglier and revolting Dances with Death, who has a strange aversion to custard, I wonder why?
The BookViral Review:
If you are at all hesitant about entering the zany world of Jonny Plumb, there’s no need for concern but the books should come with a health warning as they are very funny! Jonny Plumb and The Battle For Earth is the fourth book in The Sombrero Galaxy Series by Kim Wheeler and in many ways it’s his best yet. With wry illustrations accompanying this latest adventurous romp, they’re the perfect companions for Wheeler’s words. He knows exactly what his readers want, and serves up a humour filled saga that school-aged readers are sure to lap up. Yes, it’s tongue in cheek at times, but it can also be quite touching, especially Jonny’s enduring friendship with Legend and Legion, his faithful companions, and then there’s Nanny Noo. She’s been with Jonny since the beginning of his adventures and there’s far more to her than first meets the eye. She also serves to remind readers that it’s never too late to have fun!
Outlandish adventure with great characters, Jonny Plumb and The Battle For Earth reminds us what it’s like to believe in magical adventures. Another superb addition to this original series, it is highly recommended!
