The BookViral Review:
There are two things all the Jonny Plumb books have in common; they’re funny and jam packed full with adventure for young and enquiring minds. Certainly, Jonny Plumb and The City of Amaranta is no different in this respect from Wheeler’s previous releases, but as the stories have progressed, his highly distinctive style of storytelling has evolved. First and foremost it makes for page-turning, fun reading with eccentric characters that combine heart and scatological humour. Characters that are refreshingly free of trite morals and exist purely for the fun of immersing readers in a rip roaring romp of adventure. Yes, you really have to give imagination free reign to appreciate Wheelers eccentricities, but this is what makes his Sombrero Galaxy Series so good. These are adventures with a difference and wholly original, but most importantly they make reading a genuine pleasure and they would make amazing animated movies for kids and adults too.
Wonderful books for young readers and the child inside us all, Jonny Plumb and The City of Amaranta makes another fine addition to a must read series. It is highly recommended!

Near Death Experience’s or NDEs as they are more commonly called are not a new phenomenon; they’ve been reported throughout history and yet few subjects create so much division.
The fact is that few authors really master the art of suspense and those who do are the ones who come to understand its underpinning psychology.
