The BookViral Review:
Treyton Templeton makes a welcome return to his nefarious ways with a crime yarn that turns the air so blue you can swim in it in Anderson’s latest release Who Scares Wins!
The third release in Anderson’s Treyton Templeton series and the “Final Twisted Tale” in the saga Who Scares Wins is another lethal diversion for fans of the Crime and LGBTQ+ genres with Anderson taking us so deep into Templeton’s character you can feel him lurking in the shadows as you turn the pages.
Featuring a stellar cast of supporting characters Anderson’s narrative flair is once more evident with a deftly woven plot that keeps the intrigue percolating and the body count soaring ever higher! A plot that’s cleverly constructed, sensationally stylish and darkly hilarious with Anderson bringing a lived-in believability to Templeton’s character that is wholly intoxicating.
As with Templeton’s previous forays in The Omnipotent and Colosseum, it’s all here: the ingenious, obscenity-laced language, the double-crosses that turn into triple crosses and the swaggering characters in love with themselves with Anderson scoring a perfect 10 for sheer cleverness.
Far too many crime fiction authors simply blend and recycle elements of novels previously released but Anderson’s palpable enthusiasm and unapologetic passion for the character he’s created won’t allow him to do that. As with his previous releases Who Scares Wins is something entirely fresh and infectiously entertaining where its reach never exceeds its grasp because like all good satirists Anderson knows that too much realism will weaken the effect as he lunges for our collective viscera and doesn’t let go till the last page
Another deliciously dark and highly enjoyable head trip from Anderson Who Scares Wins proves a splendid end to his Treyton Templeton Saga and is unreservedly recommended!
