Psychic detective Epiphany Mayall is enjoying a lovely evening when her peaceful reverie is suddenly interrupted by a vivid mental image of a naked man sprawled on the ground surrounded by two snakes. Moments later, she realizes her vision is somehow connected to the ancient Mesopotamian story, the Epic of Gilgamesh—a legendary King Gilgamesh who left his home to search for the secret of immortality. Now she must wait for Spirit to send her another clue.

The BookViral Review:

Imaginative and evocative, Key to Eternity sees the return of Psychic detective Epiphany Mayall with O’Connor delivering a vibrant mix of Sumerian history, myth and metaphors that coalesce into a compelling read.

From the very first page, you know this is one of those books that demands your full attention to be really appreciated. There is intricacy at play here with exceptional attention to detail, creating an immersive sense of time and place as O’Connor takes us on an intriguing international chase of cat and mouse, manifesting in an immersive and authentic feel that should leave readers in no doubt as to the calibre of the wordsmith behind the pen.

With O’Connor managing the devices of plot to avoid predictability the stakes continue to rise. Not just for Epiphany and arts crime P.I. Maro Gaido as their feelings for each other evolve but in the blurring of lines between fact and fiction to articulate how many treasures of the past have been irrevocably lost to us.

A highly entertaining and compulsive five star read Key to Eternity is a simply superb occult thriller that will be lapped up by fans of this popular genre. Sure to garner many more fans for O’Connor’s series it is recommended without reservation.
