The BookViral Review:
For a paranormal romance novel to stand out it requires the perfect balance between its two main elements. Too heavy on the romance and paranormal readers will feel cheated and vice versa, so to come across a nail-biting series that gets the balance just right is always time to sit up and take notice.
Book one in Davenport’s Angel & Savior Fantasy Adventure Saga, The Great Balance certainly hits the mark and it’s clear from the start that Davenport knows how to spin a compelling and enticing narrative without relying on genre tropes.
Readers can take it as a given that the plot is very good. With the stakes high, plenty of forward momentum and timely twists. But it’s Davenport’s characters that ultimately make The Great Balance a genuine page-turner and here she gets the chemistry spot on.
Briellyn and her ‘angel investor Eric Windsor are both strong, sensual and multi-dimensional characters with cleverly nuanced personalities. And this makes them both memorable and convincing as they’re pitted against The Devils deception. But it’s more than their burgeoning relationship alone that will keep Davenport’s readers turning her novel’s pages.
Around her protagonists, she’s created a cast of equally memorable personalities, including Kalil, Justin and Danny. And it’s through the movements of these characters and their alternating narrative perspectives that Davenport explores the relation between love, loyalty and fate.
Far too many paranormal novels get abandoned by their readers because they come across as formulaic or over clichéd but The Great Balance proves a genuine pleasure to read and a scintillating start to Davenport’s Angel & Savior Fantasy. A five star read it is unreservedly recommended!

A seventeenth-century romance mixed with the mystery of murder is the canvas upon which Russell spins her tale and a heady mix it proves to be!
Fans of Sword and Sorcery looking for their next favourite read may well find The Nameless ticks all the boxes.
George Macdonald, when asked the reason for his chosen genre, replied,
“I write, not for the children, but for the child-like, whether they be five, or fifty, or seventy five”
Readers love tropes and publishers know they sell books but there is always room for something new.
