The BookViral Review:

An exhilarating new paranormal romance that hollers originality Verge of Corruption is the second book in A Love’s Warrior series from Stevens who lures us in with a dark torrent of nightmarish images and fever inducing sexual tension.

Paranormal romance remains an ever-popular genre with a host of new releases readily filling the shelves and Stevens certainly seems to have made her mark as she turns the expectations of her readers and generic convention to her advantage. She certainly knows what her readers want as she goes beyond trite scenes and dubious dialogue to deliver an enthralling plot that stands shoulder to shoulder with the best the genre has to offer.

With rarely a dull moment, she spins her narrative to achieve a notable balance between luxurious detail and intense action, which fans of the paranormal romance genre will certainly applaud, but it’s her world-building prowess and superb characters that really sets this story apart.

On the latter, all the expected devices of the genre are here, but be prepared to run the gamut of emotions as Tris and Zestine find themselves locked in the time-honoured battle between the forces of dark and light. Many of their scenes are visceral and affecting, replete with suspense and an unnerving sense of the macabre whilst descriptions of the main supporting characters are startlingly vivid and distinctive.

A highly enjoyable read that never feels derivative or formulaic Verge of Corruption proves a must-read for fans of the Paranormal Romance genre and is recommended without reservation!
