SUMMARY: Pierre Alex Jeanty- the self-confessed founder of gentlemanhood.
“Her” is a collection of poetry and prose about women, their strengths and beauty. Every woman should know the feelings of being loved and radiating those feelings back to her mate. This is a beautiful expression of heartfelt emotion using short, gratifying sentiments. If there is a lover in you, you will not get enough of “Her.”
The BookViral Review: In this ungentlemanly world, the intention of Jeanty seems to be to offer a refreshing collection of verses serving as a positive reflection of womanly qualities, promoting self-belief rather than self-depreciation. The very title `HER` invites one in to examine the most intimate and hidden emotions of womanhood and the insecurities and fears that surround romantic relationships, as separate from the male experience.
How does he fare? It seems with a very clear divide. Opinion is cleanly cut down the middle. You love it-or you hate it. Whilst some see a book that speaks of what women deserve due to their natural qualities, and defend the rejection of love due to bad experiences served up to them by other men, some observe a suggested frailty; that a woman is defined by her previous experiences, and is powerless to make a rational and standalone response to each romantic encounter.
The subject of love is intensely personal, not necessarily influenced by gender, sexual persuasion, or others. That said, Jeanty no doubt hits a chord with many like-minded individuals, and seems at times to throw a life-line to many women thrown overboard by love. One note of caution, however, if you are a man. This is not a love guide-listen to your woman-she will show you the way.
For poetry readers who enjoy something completely different HER is highly recommended.
