BookViral Review:

Sister authors, Joan Maria Hansen, Marianne Houle, and Nancy Nicolosi take us on a foray into the paranormal in their nail-biting but curiously absorbing new book, ‘The Haunting at Yardlow Manor’. Displaying their evident knowledge and experience, the writers bring their individual talents together in an interesting and insightful supernatural adventure.

Complete with their respective pets, Duke and Cinders, and a full complement of ghost-hunting equipment, siblings Sebastian and Gwen arrive at the mysterious and possibly haunted Yardlow Manor for a summer of investigation.

That very night Gwen begins to experience strange dreams, with the following exploration of the house confirming their suspicions with some strange unexplained occurrences. Before long, Sebastian makes the decision to bring in the experts, in the form of the GH09 team, an engaging and casual group of ghost hunters from the New York Suburbs. The investigations and adventures that follow are both read-worthy and terrifying, as the group peel back the layers of the house and its previous occupants, uncovering past lives and mysteries known only to the historical players.

The sisters interest and expertise are clearly evident as they take their reader through different types of clairvoyance, and the motivations of other-worldly creatures as they reach out to the increasingly concerned present-day occupants of the house, developing relationships, both past and present, which bring their characters into sharp relief.

Creating just the right balance between tension and terror, the reader is swept along with trepidation as events come to a climactic head, with Gwen, with the discovery of her own spiritualistic ‘sight’, the central player in bringing together a long-separated mother and child, overcoming a deadly dark force to free them from their despondency.

Fascinating and well-researched, The Haunting at Yardlow Manor will attract all who have an interest in the paranormal.
