The BookViral Review:
A refreshing and transparent look at the complicated world of Quantum Physics, Colin McCoy’s super simple offering brings this mind-numbing subject into the ‘regular brain’s’ arena, with its step-by-step guide.
Beginning with its inception, we follow a trajectory of discovery, of the astounding change in scientifically accepted ideas of matter, to that of quantum physics; the idea that particles act vastly differently than expected, even randomly, that they can remain connected and communicate through separate and can even be in two places at one time!
McCoy thus provides a mind map, rendering difficult concepts more comprehensible and multi-layered hypothesis more accessible-a valuable asset for both the young and scientifically inexperienced to use as a springboard for further learning.
Furthermore, by placing quantum physics firmly in the real world for the reader despite its somewhat science-fictional aura, McCoy not only creates understanding but links to its practical use in the modern world (did you know, for instance, that you are watching quantum physics while waiting for your toast to turn?) and suggests its future use. But perhaps more interestingly, he is not shy to explore the theory that quantum physics may begin to explain consciousness and the law of attraction.
McCoy builds this idea through accepted understanding of quantum theory related to the natural world, such as bird migration, which employs ‘quantum entanglement’-the idea that there can be a connection between two extremely small entities which exist far away from one another, each sensing any change in the other-in the birds case creating a ‘magnetic map’ for migration. McCoy purports that similarly, humans may, in fact, have an influence on ‘attraction’ and could therefore manipulate their own lives for the better. Who knew that quantum physics has not only a great physical, but also, potentially, spiritual effect on our day-to-day lives?
Do not dismiss this book as a dry ‘idiots manual’ on quantum physics. McCoy poses interesting questions which go much further than scientific theory, encouraging further thought into what a full understanding could mean to future human interaction and functioning.
Firmly recommended for those who are seeking a foundation and basic pre-understanding of quantum physics, but also those who desire to explore its relation to life, the universe and everything.

Readers looking for a genuinely original read need look no further than MAX – Hide and Seek Champion of the World. A novel that makes its readers feel like active participants in its unfolding narrative as the mystery of the Sasquatch’m unfolds.
Few Crime Fiction authors genuinely excel at successfully misleading their readers and revealing an unlikely suspect as the real villain of the story and those that do can invariably be found at the very top of Whodunit Bestseller lists.
A good strategy should never be set in stone, especially in an ever-evolving industry such as publishing. As we move into 2016, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram still dominate the social media scene.
Authors like Robin Cook, Michael Crichton and Tess Gerritsen have made a major contribution to our continued fascination with medical thrillers.
It takes patience to rank in images searches or for your images to find their way to the top of a Google page and to optimize images for search engines takes an investment of time but the potential payback is huge.
