The BookViral Review:
An enticing RR Fantasy that quickly cranks up a full head of steam, there’s a germ of something interesting and different in See A Witch About A Curse, and fortunately for genre fans looking for something original, it’s not subsumed by publishing’s dedication to replicating genre bestsellers.
Delivering a compelling sense of intrigue and a sure-footed plot Hussain’s an addictive storyteller who’s careful not to sacrifice pace for superfluous detail and though there’s a lot of ground to cover in terms of tone and the story it never flounders around trying to figure out what it should be and is quick to find its footing.
It certainly has all the ingredients required to pique the curiosity of its target audience but whereas most RH Fantasy offerings omit (relatively) complex motifs and themes in favour of building tangible relationships between good-looking clothe horses, Hussain gets the balance just right. And when it comes to endearing ‘smoking hot’ characters Lea, Bruce, Logan, Miles and Tyshawn are as good as they get.
More importantly, Hussain creates a genuine sense of familiarity which grounds the chemistry between Azalea and the Emberwood pack and allows their relationship to unfold at a natural pace. Needless to say the temperature steadily rises, but it never feels forced and is always pertinent to the story as opposed to feeling like a must-add to sate the needs of Reverse Harem Fantasy fans.
Readers can take it for granted that the clock is ticking as Lea seeks to break Tyshawn’s curse but Hussain keeps us on tenterhooks to the very end with a final twist that’s sure to have far-reaching implications for Lea and the Lycan pack.
An electrifying start to Hussain’s Curse of Witch and Wolf Book series, See A Witch About A Curse is highly recommended

A rousing historical adventure and a delightfully confident novel from Isard who delivers a read packed with densely packed intrigue and chases The Guild of Salt and the King’s Messenger proves a powerful debut.
Constant speed-reading and jumping from one hyperlink to the next have subconsciously trained our minds to absorb information superficially
The magical allure of time travel has held a fascination for the layman and scientist alike. Indeed, no well-read individual can think of time travel without their mind creeping back to H.G Wells.
Never before has the voice of social commentary in literature sung higher. Freedom of speech has brought with it a cacophony of loudly spoken, written and sometimes harshly promoted opinion and judgement.
Definitions differ as to what constitutes a ‘genuine’ historical novel and when the term ’historical novel’ might properly be used. More importantly it begs the question as to What Makes Bestselling Historical Fiction Novels.
