The BookViral Review:
It seems a failing of the Suspense Thriller genre that far too often the atmosphere of a novel is layered to the point where it becomes ponderous and impenetrable, but in developing his narrative for Zipline P. Anthony Michael demonstrates an unerring understanding of what will unsettle his readers.
With its relentless pace and clever plot, Zipline makes for an appealing and compelling read but it’s not a read to be rushed with it being the progress of Michael’s plot, not the process, which makes Zipline particularly intriguing.
Taking its readers on a harrowing journey Zipline is much more than your typical Suspense Thriller with Michael developing his darkly disturbing mountainside setting and characters with a meticulous eye for the nuances of camaraderie, brusque prose and a notable sense of timing, which blunts the edge of predictability.
The action comes quick and intrigue is sure to keep the pages turning, with Michael artfully rendering a multitude of edgy scenes which are clearly articulated and imaginatively observed. Close your eyes and you can imagine yourself there but what really makes Zipline a standout read is its thematic emphasis on comradeship. His characters are strong yet it’s in coming together to overcome the odds against them that they truly resonate with the reader.
Perhaps most importantly Michael doesn’t make the mistake of exalting his subjects as extraordinary individuals. Instead, he creates sympathy for individual characters from their individual perspectives without dictating what we are supposed to think about the big picture and on this level Zipline makes for a strong fusion of effective penmanship with focused storytelling.
Refreshingly different, edgy and compelling Zipline is highly recommended.

An absorbing read from start to finish Perlsweig’s foray into 20th Century Social & Cultural History of the U.S. proves particularly poignant given the continuing presence of Covid and the ongoing Ukraine war.
How often do we read a book where a character appears in the mind’s eye fully formed?
The last year has demonstrated that people will not stop buying books. They offer pleasure, escape, entertainment, and at the very least distraction. But what is the future of self-publishing?
In reality, very few partners leave at the onset of abuse. Families live with domestic abuse for a significant period of time, and the abused will often return to the perpetrator after attempting to leave.
A child’s imagination is a wonderful thing. The suspension of disbelief comes easy to them. As we get older we think in terms of our willingness to suspend our critical faculties and believe something surreal whilst sacrificing realism and logic for the sake of enjoyment.
