SUMMARY:
Like most people, Alida has contemplated one of life’s biggest mysteries: What happens to your soul when you die? What if it is stolen by a cruel demon, and your eternity’s resting place becomes an empty locker in a secret cavern? What if the Biblical hell was a real place, where real people suffered unspeakably? It is real, and it’s a horrifying place, where the souls of good people are imprisoned with no hope for escape or rescue … until Alida appears.
The BookViral Review:
Writing in a genre that suffers from a dearth of quality releases means releasing something a little different and that’s exactly what Patty Lesser has done with the release of her Paranormal Romance The Devil, Angels, and Demons!
You know from the opening chapter that you’ve picked up an original read and it’s a story that quickly gets its hooks into you as Alida finds herself caught between the Devil and the rogue demonic Shad in a battle to free beleaguered souls.
Lesser has a colourfully visual imagination that seldom lets up and in reading The Devil, Angels, and Demons you can sense the fun she had in writing it. Giving us an intriguing plot that’s deliciously dark at times as she brings her characters to life with a feisty narrative to deliver everything a reader could want from a Paranormal Romance novel.
Refreshingly, there are no wooden characters here with each of Lesser’s imprisoned souls springing to life as their stories are revealed. Though as you might expect it’s Lesser’s protagonist Alida and her supernatural romance with Oliver that steals the show. With both characters perfectly pitched and wholly endearing whilst giving us a savvy emotional payoff about moving forward even when the motivation to do so has gone.
An original Paranormal Romance, The Devil, Angels, and Demons proves a highly entertaining read and is strongly recommended.

Building just enough back story to establish key characters in the lead-up to pivotal events, it’s relentlessly intense with one of the key strengths of “Verses Of The Void” being its deliberate pacing. It’s certainly not slow to start, and Clark is quick to build momentum, establishing the rationale for war from opposing perspectives.
James has come up with an irresistible story about a spinster hungering for something new as she emerges from her mother’s shadow and an eclectic group of ‘new’ friends who are the catalysts for change in her life.
Magic, fantasy and romance continue to prove an irresistible mix for an army of readers the world over.

The best you can bring to the reading adventure is your imagination, sense of humor, and your love of reading. Playing with a child with ASD can be enjoyable and enlightening. That playtime is also fertile ground for planting the seeds of reading.
