The BookViral Review:
Ever since humankind learnt to read and write, we’ve had an insatiable appetite for books that tell us how to live. Self-help and advice, spiritualism and comparative religion are among the most read genres in publishing and yet few offer the level of insight Utopia Found does.
Extensively referenced and persuasive in its broad-strokes Reicherter’s book is subtitled A Blueprint for Spiritual Renaissance and World Peace and in clear prose, he presents often complicated doctrine and prescriptive religious references in a way that makes it highly accessible.
Reicherter’s aim is to bring about a ‘spiritual renaissance’ but to do so he is clear that ‘people must first become aware of the important similarities that underlie all world spiritual traditions’. It’s an ambitious undertaking but it’s one on which he has certainly delivered and whilst he maintains a light and engaging tone he both challenges and enlightens.
As Reicherter says, ‘Utopia is a state of mind. It is an act of self will by which we purposely reinvent ourselves, our culture, our world, and our future.’ And on this level, Utopia Found isn’t another of a long list of books that tells you what to do. It is potentially life-changing in the truest sense. Informing and challenging but presenting a compelling vision to bring about world change on a spiritual level. A change that many would agree is urgently needed if we are to survive.
Incredibly powerful, Utopia Found proves a highly thought-provoking read. One that demands to be acted upon and is unreservedly recommended!
