The BookViral Review:

Theresa Lynn’s love of education, excitement, and the children she seeks to teach and entertain shines through in her first book, ‘Let’s Tour the World-A Globe Adventure’. Written in the first person, from the eyes of a young boy fascinated by his globe and the adventures contained within, Lynn takes us on a magical earth-wide adventure through the spinning, whirling, glowing globe.

Using entrancing poetic language, Lynn introduces her readers to different parts of our world, using rich descriptive language to stretch vocabulary. Young ones learn not only about Continents and States in this thrilling read, but also about the topography and climate in different areas as Lynn introduces us to the wildlife found in particular habitats, pairing this with appealing, animated illustrations.

Her images encourage plenty of moments to explore when reading with younger children, providing some lovely detail to stimulate conversation, including a map that serves as a great teaching base. The exploration in ‘Let’s tour the World-A Globe Adventure’ creates a golden opportunity to build cultural capital from a tender age, inspiring curiosity in the wider world.

Theresa Lynn’s experience in teaching and her perception of the young mind and how it learns is evident in her construction of this beautiful book, as she seeks to encompass implicit lessons in English language, Geography and Biology within its pages. However, despite this, she also does not fail to understand the value of enjoyment, using the magic globe as a vehicle for her charming tale.

At the story’s conclusion, Lynn transports us back to her characters home, in a cosy scene where the family are planning a vacation, ending on a note of safety and security.

An adorable and educational read for parents to read at bedtime, or for young bookworms to explore on their own. Let’s Tour the World- A Globe Adventure is highly recommended!

The Occult -why the fascination with dark fiction?

While the occult is a broad umbrella, hiding its many forms under its silky black folds, it’s concepts have endured through time, enjoying many a resurgence through the ages. The term ‘occultism’, is relatively new, not used in French or English literature, for instance, until the 19th Century, although the term ‘occult sciences’ was commonly used in the 16th Century to describe practices such as astrology, alchemy, mysticism, and natural magic.
